The event was held under the auspices of the Association of Regions of the Czech Republic and with the participation of the Governor of the Liberec Region.
The historic Svijany Castle hosted an exceptional meeting of family businesses that attracted nearly 60 representatives of regional family businesses. This meeting kicked off, a series of five regional meetings of family companies under the name FBW Regions 2024, which will take place this year in five different regions.
The host company was Family Svijan Brewery, represented by the host of the event Jana Grice Kucerova, the second generation of the family holding LIF Gruppe, under which the brewery belongs.
The welcome by our host kicked off an event full of stimulating discussions and opportunities to connect. The main theme was succession and intergenerational exchangewhich have been expertly covered David Krajicek and doc. Ing. Petra Rydvalova from the Technical University of Liberec.
In a panel discussion, they shared their experience with the company's intergenerational handover Dan Moravek, the second generation of the company ATREA Ventilation and Jana Kucerova second generation LIF Gruppe.
The role of family companies in regional development was also discussed with the participation of the Deputy of the Liberec Region Jan Svitak, Leon Jakimic of LaSvit, Petr Syrovatka Jr. of SYNER Group and Roman Havlík, CEO of Svijany Brewery.
The professional part was followed by a friendly meeting and networking with a banquet. The programme also included a guided excursion to the brewery and a tour of the chateau. Editor-in-Chief of Daily Extra, Martin Pleva, moderator of the panel discussions, added energy and smooth running to the meeting.
The meeting took place with the participation of TV crews from CNN Primetime News and Prima TVthat captured the atmosphere and important moments of the whole event.
